Our animal nutrients team at LEI strives to use the latest technology and best management practices for our effluent application systems. We operate all of our pumping equipment from a remote device using Puck, a liquid delivery system.

Pig’s produce nutrients needed to fertilize crops and their manure has benefits over commercial fertilizer. Our manure helps grow the crops which in return gets fed back to our pigs. Our manure is applied through a hose, which is also referred to as a dragline application. This system allows us to pump the manure directly from our farms straight to the field to inject the manure into the soil. This practice also helps reduce odor, as well as potential runoff.
